Filming a promo video

For those that have seen our new BMO promo video. Here’s a little behind the scenes.

Your are probably wondering what was British made that I was wearing, let’s break it down:

Boots- Made by William Lennon co in partnership with Hebtroco. The boots I was wearing were the “Chucka” boots, made in Lancashire and designed for quarries and mines. Built with extremely thick leather and heavy duty stitching. What makes these boots special is the soles aren’t stitched to the boot body. So how are they attached? Using a metal screw. It’s essentially a threaded wire in a coil that is threaded through the sole and boot then riveted together. Take a look at hebtrocos video on YouTube for the full construction: https://youtu.be/KJ6xTDhtElk?is=2f-3V3Kqb_o-QbmB

Jacket- Buffalo Systems, Teclite gilet. Made in Sheffield this is probably one of the best gilets money can buy. Especially in terms of hiking/outdoor gilets. It’s a classic buffalo build, fleece material in the outside, then a hard outer. This allows sweat to release, keeping you dry (apart from your arms, these will get wet if it rains)

Flatcap- a traditional Yorkshire piece that goes with me everywhere. I’m going to be doing a video on this cap as there’s actually a lot to say about it. But to give you a small bit of info, this one is a proper Yorkshire made cap. Made for the Cannon hall farm shop in Barnsley. It also features a selection of images of all the lovely animals cannon hall farm has had over the years. But again, more to be said about this soon. So stay tuned.

As always, thank you. Slowly we can hopefully bring more light to British manufacturing. I don’t think everything needs to be British made, but there is definitely a time and place for British made garments in our wardrobe.

All the best,

Matt
